Jackie Otto-Miller Biography

Jackie Otto-Miller is currently a professor of art and gallery curator at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida. She has previously taught at Rollins College and Crealde School of Art, in Winter Park, Florida, where she was Chairman of the Painting & Drawing Department for 10 years. Otto-Miller is a painter with an MFA from Florida State University. She attended Miami Dade College and Johns Hopkins University. Her work is usually inspired by the natural landscape. The artist’s childhood home was the Maryland countryside and after a brief nomadic period she settled in Florida where she has spent many years. Solo exhibitions include: University of Tampa, Cornell Museum of Fine Art at Rollins College, Anita S. Wooten Gallery in Orlando, Florida, Chadron State College in Nebraska, Berry College in Rome, Georgia and Crealde School of Art in Winter Park, Florida. Group exhibitions include venues in Miami, Tallahassee, Chautauqua, New York, Athens, Georgia, West Palm Beach and Melbourne, Florida.
